Welcome to Baseball Statbook. Here are a few tips which may help you use this application. As more features are added, the tips will be updated as well.

Double-clicking on input listboxes puts you into the editing mode. To get out of editing mode hit the 'Return' or 'Enter' key.

Header and Footer Tip: Under 'Report Options', you can copy styled text (formatted) from an application (e.g. MS Word) and paste it into the header and footer fields. This allows you to make custom headers and footers with different fonts, styles and font sizes.

Draggable Rows: Many of the lists in Baseball Statbook see can be re-ordered simply by selecting the row and then dragging it to a new position. Current lists which allow this feature include: Batting & Pitching Statistics (Game Stats Input tab); Fields & Available Reports (Statistics & Reports tab).

Available Reports column checkbox: What does this do? When you select the menu item Reports -> Web reports -> Create All, only reports that have been checked under the "Available Reports" list box will be created. In addition, the order of the reports in the Popup Menu is based on the order in this list box.

When in editing mode (Games Stats Input, for example) you can use all the Arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate around. This makes it easy to input stats. There is also the option in Preferences which allows you to disable the Left and Right Arrow keys.

How to modify look for Web Reports? First you select the Reports -> Web Reports -> Modify Styles menu item. Selecting this menu item reads in the MasterStyles.css file (Located in the "Statbook Files" folder). From there you can select a style and then double-click on one of the property values to make a change. If it's a color, by default a color picker is presented. If you make a mistake and want to go back to the defaults simply select the "Reset Styles" button.
